J une 7, 1979 President Jimmy Carter decreed that June would be the month of black music. Black Music Month is highlighted with various events urging citizens to recognize the contribution of America’s Black Music artist. June is a time to collectively revel in the many forms of music from gospel to hip-hop. This year GOSPELCONNOISSEUR.COM will celebrate the songs made popular by Black singers and musicians.
