2010 NAACP IMAGE AWARDS

41st NAACP Image Awards - Show -gospelconnoisseur.com 14The movie Precious and stars Mo’Nique and Gabourey Sidibe swept the 41st Annual NAACP Image Awards. During the live telecast on Fox, the movie received kudos in the best picture and best indie categories, while Mo’Nique and Sidibe were singled in out in the actress categories. Lee Daniels was blessed for directing the indie film while Geoffrey Fletcher received kudos for writing the screenplay.

The night’s other big winners included BeBe & CeCe Winans, “Still” (outstanding gospel album); Mary Mary, “God In Me” (outstanding song); Mary J. Blige (outstanding female artist & album); Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (outstanding comedy series), Cassi Davis, Payne (outstanding actress in a comedy); Hill Harper, CSI: NY (outstanding actor in a drama); and The Mo’Nique Show also was singled out as an outstanding talk series.
