ASCAP AWARDS COMING THIS FRIDAY

T he 24th Annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards will be held this Friday, June 24th at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. The invitation-only event will honor Erica & Tina Campbell, of Mary Mary, the prestigious Golden Note Award. The award recognizes artists who have achieved extraordinary milestones in their career. Gospel artist, James Fortune who also will be honored for being the most successful songwriters and publishers of the past year in Gospel music. His outstanding writing on the tracks “I Believe” and “Encore” has earned him this honor. Sean “Diddy” Combs will also receive ASCAP’s Founders Award during the evening.
