CHRIS PAUL TRADED TO THE LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
By admin on Dec 15, 2011 in NEW DAY

I t’s official, Chris Paul has been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, joining Blake Griffin. In a deal yesterday, the Clippers sent shooting guard Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, small forward Al-Farouq Aminu and their unprotected 2012 first-round draft pick to the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for Chris Paul and a pair of 2015 second-round picks. This is a bold trade for the New Orleans’ superstar point guard, it just might alter the entire sports world’s perception of the Clippers. There are whispers, that with this trade their backcourt could be better than the Lakers.
Chris, who will make $16.3 million this season, will become the Clippers’ most significant free agent acquisition since relocating to Los Angeles in 1984. And his new teammate Blake Griffin seems happy about him coming aboard. When informed of the trade, he said “Yeah! It’s going to be lob city.” So far, Chris hasn’t spoken about the trade.
