ETTA JAMES FUNERAL PLANS ARE MADE

E tta James was a remarkable woman, today would have marked her 74th birthday! On a day we should be celebrating her life, we are still in mourning over Etta passing. The family of late icon have announced that a public viewing for the singer will be held on Friday at the Inglewood Cemetery in Inglewood, California. Then a private funeral will be held Saturday at City of Refuge in Gardena, California, the Rev. Al Sharpton will preside over her funeral. The service will be restricted to immediate family and friends, plans are being made for limited media access. The family has requested that donations be sent to the Rhythm and Blues Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the historical and cultural preservation of R&B music.
