J immy “Henchmen” Rosemond has pleaded not guilty in Brooklyn Federal Court to conspiring to distribute cocaine, witness tampering and obstruction of justice. The music manager is being held without bond. His bond was denied because the judge believes Rosemond is a flight risk; he spent weeks attempting to evade authorities prior to his capture in New York City yesterday (June 21.) Rosemond was caught and chased by authorities after he was spotted outside of the W Hotel in Union Square. “This indictment was built on the backs of witnesses that have been threatened and bribed by federal prosecutors,” said his lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman. “And I plan to expose all of it. If the government wants a fight, they’re going to get a fight.”
According to reports, Rosemond was in possession of five BlackBerries, an iPad, two false drivers licenses and a fake passport when he was arrested. He also had a June 24th flight scheduled for the Bahamas. It has also been alleged that Rosemond was selling drugs as recently as May 11th. A confidential witness wore a wire during a deal involving over a kilo of cocaine in Brooklyn.
