D uring the LA stop of Kanye West’s and Jay-Z’s “Watch The Throne” tour Monday night, Kanye confessed to having suicidal thoughts after his mom’s passing in 2007. During an uplifting performance of the duos song “We Made It In America” Kanye was inspiring his audience, asking them to fight for their dreams and not give up. He then became emotional and confessed to the entire audience in the Los Angeles Staples Center that three years ago, after his mother passed away, he was on the brink of suicide. He says it wasn’t until the Taylor Swift incident that he realized things were getting out of hand.
“People tell you to always be humble, humble, humble — but when’s the last time anyone told you to be amazing, great, or awesome?” Later on as he performed “Heartless” the crowd could see tears rolling down his face. He added, “I will not give up on life again. There’s so many people that will never get the chance to have their voice heard…I do it for them.”
