KEYSHIA COLE’S MOM DROPS GOSPEL CD

Dr. Yvonne Cole, of Oakland, CA,  is yet another member of the Bay Area’s rich gospel music community. Adopted mother of Platinum R&B artist, Keyshia Cole, Dr. Cole takes her turn at the microphone, delivering her new single, “Get Your Praise On”. She looks to release her first full project in
April 2009. She says, “I’m already a minister and I like spreading the gospel anyway. And I love singing.” She adds, “I’m like, ‘Why did I wait ’til I get up in age to do something?’”

Dr. Cole is not a newcomer to the industry, having sung with the female quartet, the Spiritual Specials, as well as with Pastor Elijah Baker and the Stars of Joy. She now has her own record label, C & W Records. The nation’s newest gospel record label, C & W will bring you the world’s BEST in gospel music. C & W Records was founded in 2008 by Dr. Yvonne Cole, Leon Cole and Herman Williams of Memphis, TN.  Dr. Cole hired Herman Williams as the label’s General Manager, V.P. of Marketing and V.P. of Promotions.
She hired her son, Leon Cole, as the V.P of Sales and V.P. of A&R. Over the next five years, C & W Records anticipates  tremendous growth and success mostly due to the recordings of Dr. Cole and her newest artist, Sylvester Burks.
