LIZA MINELLI REMAKES BEYONCE’S “SINGLE LADIES”

I ‘m not sure what to say about Liza Minnelli growling through Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies”, but I will say, “get the ham sandwich out of here.”
The tune is featured in the new “Sex In The City 2″ movie, opening this Thursday, and I’m being told that a version of the song also appears on the soundtrack. Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, and Erykah Badu also has songs featured on the soundtrack.
Liza Minnelli lends an unique spin to the song with her “Ethel Merman” flair. I’ve heard some love the song for its comedic campiness and despised by others for the pain it may cause the ears of some listeners. The best part is when Liza sings, “tighter than my Dereon jeans.”
“It’s a wonderful number,” Liza said in an interview. “We had a blast. It’s rock and roll. Everything is moving! And I just got a whole new knee, so I can promise you everything is moving.”
