SUNDAY BEST EPISODE 9: CEDRIC’S THOUGHTS
By admin on May 31, 2010 in TV

K aren Clark-Sheard set the pace for the evening with her stirring performance of her new single, “Prayed Up”!!! The evening was full of Gospel songs of the cinema.
My girl Tiffany Carlin-Laird set the night off with “Joyful, Joyful” from the Sister Act movie. Tiffany has a great voice, she has grown so much as a performer since the start of the season. I’m loving the swag she brought to this performance. *SIDE BAR: DONNIE YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO POINT OUT THAT SHE WAS HOARSE OR THAT SHE TRIP!
Durward Davis, this dude right here, is the TRUTH! Did I say that already about him? The way he executed “I Believe In You In Me” was just extraordinary. I could see myself paying to see this dude perform live. He definitely raised the stakes with this performances.
Martha Buries sang one of my favorite songs in life, “Will You Be There”. Martha gave a good steady performance, but it wasn’t enough to keep her in the competition. She was eliminated. Love the hair Martha!
Elder Goldwire McLendon forgot the words to “He’s All Over Me” and it sort knock his confidence a little bit. He regain with a strong finish.
LeAndria Johnson tackled “Gods’ Trying To Tell You Something” from the Color Purple. Tata Vega set the bar so high with that song, that I wish people would just leave it alone. LeAndria didn’t seem to comfortable with the song — but when you are as great as she is, she still gave a good performance.
