I am enjoying Ted Winn’s new single “God Believes in You”. It is buzzing around the country and has now debuted at #30 on the Radio & Records Hot Gospel songs chart. The song was inspired by a real life tragedy. “A friend of mine was killed in an accident and he was one of many people, whom I feel did not reach his potential because he never had a support system nor infrastructure,” says Ted. “This song is meant to inspire every person to pursue every dream knowing that God has made an investment in them and He would not make an investment if He didn’t expect a return. It’s not just to those who have always been apprehensive, it’s also to those who have achieved ‘success,’ but still have passions that they’ve been slow to go after.”
Ted’s CD is tentatively scheduled for a summer 2009 release, entitled “Balance”. It will be release on his own label Teddys Jamz.
Ted rose to popularity in 2001 with his singing partner Sheri Jones-Moffett. The duo Ted & Sheri burst into the Gospel music scene with their smash rendition of “Come Ye Disconsolate.” The riveting ballad won them three Stellar Award nominations and two wins. Sheri is the lead vocalist on Donald Lawrence’s “Encourage Yourself”.
